Crested Butte Summer Camp for Kids
VISITOR’S WELCOME - CALL FOR RESERVATIONS!!
June 5th through August 20th
Monday through Friday.
8:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
Park Play / Day Camp
For 3 to 5 and a half year old children. Activities include participation in daily art and crafts, gardening, playground games, picnics, water play, and other activities at and around the center. Children may take short excursions in town and/or Mt. Crested Butte.
Adventure Club - Crested Butte Summer Camp
For the older, more adventurous kids ages 5 and a half - 8 years old. Activities include hiking, canoeing with the Adaptive Sports Center, water play, exploring, group games, arts and crafts, and nature awareness activities. Special excursions include trips to Blue Mesa, Round Mtn. Organic Farm, and chairlift rides on Mt. Crested Butte. Adventure Club leaves at 10:00 a.m. and returns at 3:30 p.m. Transportation to trailheads is provided by Stepping Stones. *Adventure Club activities are subject to change due to weather and vehicle availability.
RESERVATIONS:
Reservation requests will be accepted starting May 1st. You may make your request sooner, but we will not be able to confirm them until after that date. You may submit your reservation requests by filling out the reservation form or by emailing us at

When making reservations we ask that you indicate your child’s name, age and birthday, time you will arrive, and a phone number or email address where we can notify you of any changes. A valid credit card number is required to hold your reservation. Please bring a copy of your child’s immunization record.
RATES:
All Groups: $14.00/hour.
* Registered family rates available with a 6 week minimum stay *
OTHER FEES:
- $15.00 for 15 minutes for late pick-ups after 5:30
- $20.00 late cancellation fee
- $35.00 No-Show fee for non-cancelled reservations
- 18 percent APR for payments over 30 days late
- $25.00 for returned checks and denied credit cards
Transportation: $7.00 to $15.00 for Adventure Club trips involving the van.
CANCELLATIONS:
A 48-hour notice for cancellations is required. (Thursday afternoon for a Monday reservation.) A $15 fee will be charged for all late cancellations. A $25.00 No-Show fee will be charged for non-cancelled reservations.
SCHEDULES:
Children may arrive anytime before 9:30 a.m. You may pick up your child anytime after 1:30 (3:30 for Adventure Club). Please indicate drop off and pick up times on the sign in sheet each day. If you are going to be late, please call.
If you need to drop off your child after
9:30 a.m., you must let us know before making your reservation. Because our morning programs start at 10:00 a.m., children arriving here after that time may not be able to participate in their regular group activity.
YOUR CHILD SHOULD BRING:
- Sack lunch
- Sun protection: sunglasses, sunscreen and a brimmed hat. Please apply sunscreen to your child before bringing them to Stepping Stones.
- Appropriate clothing: play clothes, rain gear, sweater or sweatshirt, durable shoes
- A water bottle
- Backpack for all of the above
Adventure Club kids should also bring:
- Water Shoes!
- Extra shorts
- Bug repellent, optional
Please write your child’s name on EVERYTHING!

All programs are operated by the professionally trained and experienced staff of the Stepping Stones Children’s Center. The center is conveniently located in the Town Park. All activities take place outdoors in the center’s yard, town parks and on private or National Forest land surrounding Crested Butte.
